Study Description
Metabolic disease, such as obesity and type 2 diabetes are mostly caused by specific alterations in the composition and activity of the gut microbiome. Metabolic health is a condition that maintains normal body weight and sugar control.
At Viome Life Sciences, we have developed supplements whose goal is to improve metabolic health by optimizing the individual’s gut microbiome.
What we ask of you
- You will complete an Informed Consent Form and a Medical Release Form (this is only used to obtain your Quest results).

You will complete several health surveys.

You will collect saliva, stool, and finger-prick blood samples at home for Viome laboratory analysis, twice (about 90 days apart). The easy collection kits are mailed to you and come with instructions and prepaid return mailers.

You will go to a local Quest lab where they will collect your blood and other measurements (Viome will pay for Quest expenses).

You will send your body measurements (used to assess cardiovascular disease risk).

You may be given a recommendation for your diet and/supplements. You will need to follow your nutrition plan for 3 months.
What you receive
- You will have access to your Quest results for both visits (Fasting insulin and fasting glucose, HbA1C, and lipid panel).
